When do Entries Close?
We will be accepting Race Day Late Entries until 15 minutes before the Race Start. 
Online Entries will close at 5pm Saturday 11th March 2018.
Please Note - Late Entries (received after Midnight Sunday 11th March) will not have their Race Number posted out and you MUST collect on Race Day at least 15 minutes before the start.
 
When is my Race Number sent out?
All Race Numbers will be sent out in the week of the race (19th-24th March 2018) to those that Entered prior to Midnight Sunday 11th March 2018.
You must supply a valid New Zealand Postal Address when you enter.
Online Late Entries (received after Midnight Sunday 11th March 2018) will not have their Race Number posted out and you MUST collect on Race Day at least 15 minutes before the start of the race.
 
What time does Race Day Registration and Race Day Late Entries Open on Race Day?
Race Day Registration and Race Day Late Entries Open at 7.15am on Race Day.
Race Day Registration and Race Day Late Entries for the Half Marathon Close at 8.45am
Race Day Registration and Race Day Late Entries for the 10km Close at 9.45am
Race Day Registration and Race Day Late Entries for the 5km Close at 11.00am
Race Day Registration and Race Day Late Entries for the RUN kids 2km Close at 11.30am

Can I do a Postal Entry?
Yes, Please Click Here to download a Postal Entry Form. Postal Entries MUST BE received by 5pm Friday 9th March 2018.
 
Can I get a refund if I decide to Withdraw from the Event?
Sorry but Entry Fees are Non Refundable. But you can transfer to the following year or transfer to another participant, all you need to do is complete this online (details in next question) prior to 5pm Friday 9th March.
 
What happens if the event is Postponed or Cancelled?
If the event is Postponed due to weather or another unforeseeable or unplanned act, we will automatically transfer your Entry to the new event date. If you cannot make the new event date we will provide a credit to the following years event.
If the event is Cancelled due to a unsuitable postponement date, you will be entitled to a credit for any RUN NZ event valid for up to 12 months.
 
How do I change my Address, Distance or Transfer to another Participant?
 
Address Updates, along with Participant and Distance Transfers must be completed online before the 5th March.
As per Event Rules you may not compete under another persons name as we need to know exactly who is on course for Health & Safety reasons and incase medical treatment is required.
You can complete Transfers or update Details Online by either:
1. Clicking on the links contained in your Confirmation Email.
Or
2. By simply logging into your ACTIVE.com Account up until the 5th March.
i) If you do not have an ACTIVE.com Account, you will need to create one first.
ii) Visit My Events and enter your registration ID in the “Claim your registration” box.

What are the Minimum Ages?
Based on Athletics NZ Guidelines the following Minimum Age restrictions apply.
Half Marathon - 16 years
10km - 13 years
 
Does the entry fee go to any Charities?
A lot of local Huntly and Hamilton organisations and clubs benefit from the Huntly Half Marathon by almost $10,000. There are also a huge number of operational cost in producing an event.
 
Where are the On Course Drink Stations?
There are 7 Drink Stations on the Half Marathon Course at approximately 3km, 4.5km, 7.5km, 10km, 13.5km, 16.5km and 18km.
There are 2 Drink Stations on the 10km Course at approximately 5km and 8km.
There are 2 Drink Stations on the 5km Course at approximately 1km and 4km.
 
What drinks will be provided at the Drink Stations?
Water will be provided at the Drink Stations.
 
If I enter the Walk but then want to Run the course?
If you are in the Walking event you MUST WALK the ENTIRE distance. If you you would like to change you can do this Online before Midnight Sunday 5th March 2017.
 
What if I enter the Run and need to Walk?
If you enter the RUN you can RUN/WALK.
 
Are there Toilets at the Start/Finish?
Yes there are a number of Portaloos and Urinals at the Start/Finish of the event.
 
Are there Showers at the Start/Finish?
Yes there will be Showers available at the Huntly Rugby Clubrooms, directly beside the Start/Finish area for a Gold Coin Donation. All funds raised go directly to the Huntly Rugby Club.
 
Where Can I Park?
Parking is at Huntly Rugby Park off Riverview Road for a Gold Coin Donation. This is directly beside the Start/Finish area. Please follow the parking signs and have your donation ready. Please Carpool where possible. All funds raised go directly to the Huntly Rugby Club.
 
What Prizes are there?
First Place Male and Female in the Huntly Half Marathon Run will receive $500.
There is a Time Bonus of $250 if our First Male Finisher breaks 65mins and if our First Female Finisher breaks 75mins in the Huntly Half Marathon.
There is also a 10km Bonus of $100 for our First Male and Female to reach the 10km point in the Huntly Half Marathon Run.
 
There will also be the usual Spot Prize Draw with prizes from Ronhill, Hilly, Suunto, Jetts Fitness and more.
 
Is there first aid assistance on the day?
Medical Assistance will be available at the Finish and we will have medical teams on the course thanks to Hamilton based Ambulance EMT.
 
Where is the Timing Responder?
Your Timing Responder will be already attached to the back of your race number. Please do not bend or break this. Timing Responders DO NOT need to be returned after the race.
 
What happens if I need to stop or need help during the race?
Please speak to an Event Official who will contact the appropriate person. Please ensure you record your DNF at the Finish Line with our Timing Team. If you need Medical assistance during the Event the contact details of Ambulance EMT are printed not he back of your Race Number.
 
What powers do the Event Officials hold?
Event Officials can disqualify anyone seen disobeying course rules – eg running outside road cones. The rules are in place to ensure the safety of yourself, other participants and the General Public. Disobeying the rules will put the event in jeopardy for future years. Please remember our Event Officials are largely Volunteers.
 
Will somebody be taking photos?
Photographs will be placed on our Facebook Page after the event, please feel free to tag yourself or save the photo as your Profile Pic!
 
Is there Food, Drink or Products for sale after the race?
There will be a number of Food & Drink Stalls along with Product tents with Specials at the event. If you would like to book a Stall Site please contact us via email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
 
Can I have my supporters ride bikes alongside me?
Family and Friends are not allowed to follow you on the course whether by bike or in a vehicle.
 
Are Prams or Nordic Poles Allowed?
Prams and Nordic Poles are permitted due to the changes in course. Nordic Walkers will be asked to start at the back of the Walking event.
 
Can I participate with my dog?
Sorry no dogs are allowed on course for the safety of both the dog and participant.
